The MM module is a fundamental component of SAP® ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and supports the areas of procurement and inventory management. Together with SAP® SRM (Supplier Relationship Management), it can be used in the classic or extended scenario to comprehensively map procurement processes (e.g. approval workflows). But it also has a good range of features on its own (e.g. reporting – purchasing information system) and can now also be used intuitively on mobile devices with the new SAP® Fiori technology.
The MM module is a product for the operational procurer in a central purchasing department. It is not suitable for decentralized procurement.
The MM user works with the SAP GUI.
